The 2023 Conference and Workshops will be held in Halifax. The conference will be Monday and Tuesday, September 24 and 25. The workshops will be on Wednesday September 26. The location is the Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites, which has been recently remodeled and is offering excellent facilities and great accommodation rates.
Schedule these dates now, you will not want to miss this conference!
The conference theme is Celebrating out Roots and Branching into the Future. Two days of assessing where environmental and health and safety auditing and site assessing is today and where it needs to go in the future. Check the initial agenda for session topics and the types of issues that wil be addressed.
Also, check out the Wednesday workshops - all very informative and educational sessions. The Root Cause Analysis workshop was done last year in Calgary, for the first time, and was extremely popular. As most auditors can attest, root cause analysis particularly for initial risk identification, evaluation and control, and for corrective and preventive actions is so critical, yet so often needs improvement. This workshop is essential to enhance your EH&S management system. Integration of EH&S and Q MSs is clearly a significant trend. Learn some of the key aspects of integration by attending this workshop. Our third workshop Audit Program Development and Improvement should be attended by all auditors and audit managers. Audit programs and how you work with management to develop the program, implement the program, provide feedback and enhance risk controls are all aspects you can gain additional insight into. And, of course, we are offering the Exam Preparation workshop, With the constant update and enhancements to the exam you need to get the latest. This workshop is helpful for any of the auditor designations offered by CECAB as well as the CEAA CHSMSA exam.
PLUS, the conference committee has booked a very exciting outing for Conference attendees on Monday evening, September 24, at a very modest extra cost. It will include two great highlights:
- a beautiful tour to Peggys Cove, with time to roam the rocks and inspect the lighthouse at one of Nova Scotias most famous destinations
- a spectacular Atlantic dinner at a well-known restaurant near Peggys Cove with lively, and live, Celtic music.
What a night !!! All that, on top of the best annual conference with lots to learn personally and professionally, and plenty of opportunities to network.
